Exercise machines, the ones you see in every big gym chain, are going to cause major issues in your body at some time in your life. They may make you feel good now, but they disrupt our natural movement patterns. It is not safe to sit down and generate that much force. When you do this repetitively, you are feeding into patterns that are going to hurt you. We are not supposed to sit and do heavy lifting. We are supposed to bend, lift, twist, turn, run, jump, climb- all while in a standing or crouched position, but not in a seated position. On top of the fact we sit all day for our jobs, working out while sitting only increases the risk of injury that much more. Stay educated my friends.
